Cyber Bullying

a Common Problem without a definite solution.
The good news is that there are steps that parents and kids can take together to manage the situation/bullying.
Cyberbullying should not be ignored. It affects mostly all teenagers. The most common forms of bullying include: Someone pretending to be someone else so they can trick your child.
They like to post pictures of your child without his/her consent. They like to spread untrue rumors about your child. They are also not bothered by sending threats to your child.
It is important for the parents to have an open relationship with their child/children. Discuss with them what to post and what not to post.
Some children are innocently pulled into chats not knowing much about the background of most of the individuals. Explain to your children that when they are in relationships and communicating regularly, they should be very careful about the pictures that they send or share with friends.
They should not just open any messages from unknown senders. Some of these bullies will not think twice before posting your pic without consent, or they will threaten to post a pic that you posted without thorough consideration.
Discuss with your child how to react when being bullied. Do not reply to the Bullies’ abuse. Take pics of the threats that you can use when needed. Block the bully.
Let the Bullies Parents know about it as well as the school. Block the bully. Erase all the abuse after you’ve screenshotted it. Cyberbullying can
have lasting effects if not handled appropriately by the child involved as
well as his/her parents.
