12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>National Curriculum Statement Grades R-12&nbsp;<\/em>represents a policy statement for learning and teaching in South African schools and comprises the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements for each approved school subject as listed in the policy document\u00a0<em>National policy pertaining to the program and promotion requirements of the National Curriculum Statement Grades R \u2013 12<\/em>;<\/li><li>The policy document\u00a0<em>National policy pertaining to the program and promotion requirements of the National Curriculum Statement Grades R \u2013 12\u00a0<\/em>which describes the number of subjects to be offered by learners in each grade and the promotion requirements to be obtained;
